Extensions to the National Three Peaks Challenge

The popularity of the National Three Peaks Challenge has spawned three extended challenges, for the even more adventurous.

Four Peaks Challenge

Slieve Donard, Northern Ireland

Slieve Donard, Northern Ireland

The most straightforward addition to the National Three Peaks, the Four Peaks Challenge adds Slieve Donard in Northern Ireland, to Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis. The Four Peaks Challenge includes around 43km of hill walking, and either a sea voyage, helicopter flight or plain flight to Northern Ireland.

Five Peaks Challenge

Carrantuohill, Republic of Ireland

Carrantuohill, Republic of Ireland

The Five Peaks Challenge adds, along with Slieve Donard in Northern Ireland, Carrantuohill in the Republic of Ireland. The Five Peaks Challenge is most often attempted within 48 hours.

Snaefell, Isle of Man

The Six Peaks Challenge adds a further peak - Snaefell on the Isle of Man. This adds an additional journey, from the Isle of Man to the Republic of Ireland. The Six Peaks Challenge is usually attempted over 72 hours.
