Meet the peaks

Ben Nevis

The highest mountain in the British Isles offers a dramatic start, with panoramic views across Loch Linnhe and the Mamores.

  • Classic ascent via the Mountain Track or CMD Arete option for experienced teams.
  • Support vehicle staging in Fort William for fast turnarounds.

Ben Macdui

The vast Cairngorm plateau demands precise navigation and rewards teams with sweeping vistas over the Lairig Ghru.

  • Guided high-level traverse with contingency routes in poor visibility.
  • Opportunities to practice winter skills if you visit for pre-event training.

Braeriach

The Cairngorms’ second giant closes the challenge with airy ridgelines and views over the sculpted corries of Coire Bhrochain.

  • Carefully paced ascent to manage tired legs on complex terrain.
  • Summit celebration before returning to Aviemore for debrief and onward travel.

What to expect

The Scottish Three Peaks Challenge delivers a concentrated dose of high-level Scottish mountaineering. Expect long mountain days, rapid weather changes, and intricate ground in the Cairngorm plateau. Our support team is designing a programme that balances pace with recovery, so ambitious teams can complete each ascent safely while still enjoying the unique landscapes.

  • Ben Nevis summit day will start from Fort William with dedicated logistics for both day and night ascents.
  • A Cairngorms double-header links Ben Macdui and Braeriach with experienced guides navigating the high plateau.
  • Vehicle transfers, accommodation recommendations, and nutrition support will be tailored for mixed-ability teams.
  • Itinerary, route notes, and kit checklists will be issued in advance to streamline your preparation.
