Cambrian Way

Cambrian Way

The Mountain Spine of Wales

The Cambrian Way runs 298 miles from Cardiff to Conwy, following the mountain spine of Wales through the Brecon Beacons, the Cambrian Mountains, and Snowdonia. This challenging unofficial route links the highest ground in Wales, including Pen y Fan, Cadair Idris, and Snowdon itself.

The trail crosses remote and often trackless terrain, demanding strong navigation skills and mountain experience. For those equipped to tackle it, the Cambrian Way offers an unrivalled traverse of Welsh mountain landscapes, from the red sandstone peaks of the south to the volcanic summits of Eryri in the north.
