Cape Wrath Trail

Cape Wrath Trail

Britain's Toughest Long Walk

The Cape Wrath Trail runs approximately 230 miles from Fort William to Cape Wrath, the remote northwestern tip of mainland Britain. This unofficial route has no waymarks, no consistent path, and crosses some of the wildest and most sparsely populated terrain in Western Europe.

Walkers must navigate through trackless glens, ford rivers, and contend with notoriously unpredictable weather. The reward is complete immersion in the raw landscape of the Scottish Highlands, from the mountains of Knoydart and Torridon to the empty quarter of Sutherland. This trail demands self-sufficiency, navigation skills, and considerable mountain experience.
