Skye Trail

Skye Trail

Traversing the Misty Isle

The Skye Trail runs approximately 80 miles from Rubha Hunish at the northern tip of the Isle of Skye to Broadford in the south. This unofficial route crosses some of Britain's most dramatic mountain scenery, including the Trotternish Ridge and the approaches to the Cuillin.

The trail is rough and pathless in places, demanding good navigation skills and mountain experience. Rewards include the extraordinary geological features of the Quiraing and Old Man of Storr, views across the Minch to the Outer Hebrides, and the unique atmosphere of an island shaped by volcanic forces and Gaelic culture.
