Speyside Way
Through Scotland's Whisky Country
The Speyside Way follows the River Spey for 66 miles from Aviemore to Buckie on the Moray coast, with a spur to Tomintoul in the Cairngorms. This official Scottish long-distance route passes through the heartland of Scotch whisky production, where famous distilleries line the valley floor.
The trail combines riverside paths, former railway lines, and forest tracks through the gentle landscapes of Moray and Badenoch. Walkers can visit distilleries at Glenfiddich, Glenlivet, and numerous others along the way, making this a uniquely flavoured journey through one of Scotland's most productive and picturesque valleys.
