Three Peaks Challenge Ltd is committed to minimising its environmental impact while delivering high-quality mountain walking events across the UK. We recognise the responsibility to protect the natural landscapes in which we operate and are dedicated to sustainable practices that preserve these environments for future generations.

  • Plan routes and activities to minimise erosion and habitat disturbance.
  • Encourage responsible travel to and from events, promoting car-sharing and public transport where possible.
  • Reduce, reuse, and recycle waste generated during events and office operations.
  • Keep noise levels to a minimum when passing through local communities and sensitive wildlife areas.

2.2. Conservation and Biodiversity

  • Follow and promote Leave No Trace principles.
  • Work with local conservation groups to support habitat restoration and biodiversity initiatives.
  • Avoid organising events in ecologically sensitive areas or during critical wildlife seasons.

2.3. Carbon Footprint Reduction

  • Assess and reduce the company's carbon footprint by prioritizing energy-efficient operations.
  • Offset unavoidable emissions through certified carbon offset programs.
  • Use sustainable suppliers for event materials and merchandise.

  • Train staff and guides in sustainable best practices.
  • Provide participants with guidance on responsible outdoor behavior.
  • Engage with local communities to ensure events contribute positively to the areas we operate in.

4. Responsibility

All employees, guides, and event participants share responsibility for implementing this policy. The Three Peaks Challenge Ltd management team will oversee compliance and drive continuous improvement in environmental performance.
