Press & Media

This page summarises the most commonly requested information for journalists, documentary teams, podcasters, and creators covering UK Three Peaks challenges.

Quick facts

  • We run guided events and support groups taking on the National, Yorkshire, Welsh and Surrey Three Peaks challenges.
  • We do not publish or verify official “record times”. Definitions vary by route choice, timing windows, and rules.
  • Safety is the non-negotiable. Weather, fatigue and group management matter more than headline timings.

About Three Peaks Challenge Ltd

Three Peaks Challenge Ltd organises guided challenge events across the UK. Our formats are commonly used for charity fundraising, corporate team building, and private group events.

What we can provide

  • Guided event places on published dates.
  • Private group events (exclusive dates) for charities and companies.
  • Planning and preparation resources: training guidance, kit lists, and route information.

For upcoming guided dates, see events. For private group options, see private events.

Filming and photography

We support responsible filming and photography. On mountain days, safety and participant welfare come first.

  • Do not obstruct paths or create hazards for other walkers.
  • Respect participant privacy. Obtain consent for close-up or identifiable filming.
  • Expect limited mobile signal. Plan communications and uploads accordingly.
  • Follow local signage and access rules, and apply the Countryside Code.

If you are planning any organised filming activity (crew, equipment, vehicles, drones), contact us in advance so we can advise on timing, permissions, and safe operating practices.
