Open Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge We run many Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge events between April and October each year — participants can optionally raise money for any charity. You can book as an individual or a groups of any size. We walk in groups of about ten, each with a mountain leader, to guide and navigate as required. You're able to filter up or down amongst the groups to suit your own pace. We begin the Challenge soon after 6am in Chapel le Dale (free parking provided for our participants), walking the route anti-clockwise — Ingleborough, then Pen-y-Ghent and Whernside last, finishing at the same place. £75 per person — including a £15 deposit to secure places Skip to Dates & Bookings Itinerary 6am Meet in Chapel le Dale. Free parking available in Chapel le Dale, in the field next to The Old Hill Inn, or the layby off the road. Postcode for start/finish parking: LA6 3AR. Meet your leader and team Start the challenge, as each group is ready to set off. Approx. 8am Summit of Ingleborough. Approx. 10am Arrive in Horton-in-Ribblesdale — first water stop. Toilets available in the village. Approx. 11.30am Summit of Pen-y-Ghent. Approx. 2.30pm Ribblehead Viaduct, stop for second water top-ups. Approx. 4.30pm Summit of Whernside. Approx 6pm Target time to complete the challenge! We finish the challenge where we started, in Chapel le Dale, next to The Old Hill Inn — excellent food is available here if you fancy it. Included Mountain leaders to walk with you and guide you around the route Safety support vehicle in case of injury, to provide a safe means to retire from the event Water top-ups at our two meeting points, ensure you top-up your water bottles from our supplies Certificates of completion handed out afterwards Not included Accommodation isn't included, as preferences and requirements vary. Please see our list of recommended accommodation. Food — you'll need to bring food for the day. We provide water top-ups at two points, and refreshments at the second point (tea, coffee & cake). Travel to Yorkshire By car, travel is via the M6 then A687, or A65 from the Kendle or Leeds direction. By train, there are regular services to Settle, Horton-in-Ribblesdale and Ribblehead, with lovely views. Settle Taxis are a local firm — 01729 822219.
